This is not the case as Apple bought Beats by Dr. Dre (Beats Reference1   Beats Reference2).

Dr. Dre is very much associated with 420. He is 420 friendly to the point of calling his first solo album (with appearances by Snoop Dogg) The Chronic.

The Chronic's album covers did not make Apple hesitant to associate $3 Billion with Dr. Dre like Earlymon's claims.
